LeTour Stage #19

Gwynt cryf oedd gelyn mwyaf y peleton ar gymal #19 o LeTour ond, unwaith eto, roedd beicwyr YGY ar eu gorau.  Gyda'r sylw i gyd ar y frwydr am y crys smotiog roedd yn ymddangos fod Owain Watts wedi gosod tipyn o darged gyda 3622tr yn gynnar yn y prynhawn.  Ond mae Rhys Davies yn awyddus i gipio'r unig grys sydd ar ol ac roedd ei ymdrech o 6,010 tr yn arwrol.  Dau gymal sydd ar ol, y time-trial byr yfori, a'r cymal gorfoledd i fewn i Paris ar ddydd Sul.  Mae Owain Watts yn sicr o gasglu dau grys, a Evan Thomas un arall, ac os gall Davies osgoi problem mecanyddol yfori, ef fydd yn ymuno a nhw ar y podiwm.

Strong winds provided the main adversary for the peleton on stage #19 of LeTour, but the YGY riders were in top form.  With all the attention on the battle for the polka-dot jersey, it appeared that Owain Watts had laid down a real marker with 3,622ft early in the afternoon.  However, Rhys Davies is keen to claim the only remaining available jersey and his effort of 6,010ft was heroic.  Two stages remain, the short time-trial tomorrow, and the glory stage into Paris on Sunday.  Owain Watts is certain to claim two jerseys, and Evan Thomas another, so if Davies can avoid a mechanical issue tomorrow he is likely to join them on the podium.
