LeTour Stage #12
O ganlyniad i grwp bach o feicwyr, allan ar y fordd yn ystod cymal #12, am y tro cyntaf yn LeTour fe hawliodd Geraint Thomas eiliadau ar y peleton. Mae yna 9 diwrnod yn weddill ac mae'n bosib fod blinder, problemau mecanyddol a pwysau gwaith yn cael effaith ar y criw, ond serch hynny mae'r fantes dal yn un sylweddol. Mae'r frwydr am y crysau yn dechrau poethi hefyd ar ol diwrnod diddorol iawn. Mae Owain Watts dal i arwain y ffordd ond mae ei fantes yn y crys smotiog lawr i dri phwynt yn unig a bydd yn ddiddorol i weld a fydd Rhys Davies yn dewis ymosod ar y mynyddoedd, yn ystod y cymalau nesaf. Gyda'r tywydd i fod poethi wythnos yma, fydd y frwydr yn danboeth erbyn y cymalau olaf.
As a result of a limited group, out on the road during stage #12, for the first time on LeTour Geraint Thomas gained valuable seconds on the peleton. There are 9 days remaining and its possible that fatigue, mechanical issues and work pressure are taking their toll on the crew, but despite this the advantage is still considerable. The battle for the jerseys is really starting to heat up after a very interesting day. Owain Watts still leads the way but his advantage in the polka dot jersey is down to only three points and it will be fascinating to see if Rhys Davies decides to attack in the mountains, over the next few stages. With the weather forecast to get warmer this week, the battle will be red-hot by the final stages.
